Mrs. Suruchi heads the Family and Matrimonial team and has been with the firm for over 20 years. She devotes her practice of law to litigation specifically in the Pharma-legal and forensic law as well as matrimonial and family law. Mrs. Suruchi has done her Masters in law and provides broad and deep insights into the key trends and risks operating in the pharmaceutical and bioscience sector, diagnostic companies as well as other healthcare bodies.

She is the daughter of Shri S.W. Deshpande, Jt. Commissioner (Retd.), Food and Drugs (FDA) Maharashtra who is also one of the foremost and most highly respected Drugs Control Officer in the country.

Considering the plight and hardships faced by women during marital disputes and divorces, Suruchi diversified her focus to include family and matrimonial law in order to ensure justice for women. Suruchi today, supervises the Family Law Team of the Firm and has extensive experience in divorce, domestic violence, custody arrangements, maintenance and alimony, She is skilled in tackling matrimonial mediations from dealing with highly emotionally charged divorces with complex financial asset pools to battles over custody and visitation rights of children. Mrs. Suruchi is known to put the goals of her clients first and find the best way for all parties to feel heard and validated as they move towards a tailored global settlement that works best for them.

The precision with which Suruchi drafts pleadings, her confident, poised and assertive arguments, her cutting edge trial skills and her exceptional leadership qualities contribute greatly to the Firm’s success.
